19, 2004 - San Clemente, CA - This week, ZUMA
Press photojournalist JEFFREY AUSTIN was
recognized with three photography awards by InterAction, an alliance of
U.S.-based international development and humanitarian nongovernmental
organizations. Austin won the grand prize and first place in the Reducing
Hunger category with his image Fields of Gold, photographed in Cambodia.
The image shows locals working rice fields where Action Against Hunger is
encouraging self-sufficiency through the support of agricultural
production.
Austin also won first place in the Peace and
Democracy category and second place in the Education category. Please join

Anniversary
This week marks the 50th anniversary
of the historic ruling in Brown v. Board of Education that overturned
segregated education in the United States.
